I seem to do a good job keeping up of the news. As many people do, I have a bookmark bar on my safari web browser. Along with facebook, break.com, and stumbleupon I actually do have some credible news sites on it. First there is yahoo. I usually just visit yahoo for fun. I really enjoy scrolling through the article bar. For the most part, these articles are not the most serious but there can be entertaining and informative. There are few sites that I visit tend to be a little more on the serious side such as CNN, NYT and Galluppoll.
I usually scroll between CNN, nytimes, and gallup poll. I usually spend the most time on CNN. I tend to read a wind range of articles and watch the news videos that are posted. I also use CNN to check on my stock portfolio and how the stock market is doing on that particular day. When I go to NYtimes it is generally to follow the presidential race. I like the way they analyze the race and provide enlightening analytical information. I also like to watch and see how two different news corporations cover the same stories and they was they analyze the same information differently. Occasionally I will also look at fox news to view the opposite side of the story. The CNN and NYT are pretty left while fox is really right. I like to try and look at both sides of a story before I make my decisions.
I also tend to look at galuppoll.com. They provide real, unbiased data, which is a break from typical news sites. I usually view data on the presidential race, as well as Obama’s approval rating and the job report. While at school I don’t really have an opportunity to view other news mediums besides the Internet. While at home I tend to watch more news on TV as well as the Internet.
I visit Yahoo as well to get my celebrity gossip and other news stories that aren't always published in some of the more credible newspapers such as NY Times and CNN.
